Scott Reeves Quintet new release, “The Alchemist,” featuring Scott on alto valve trombone & alto flugelhorn, Mike Holober on keyboards, Russ Spiegel on guitar, Howard Britz on bass and Andy Watson on drums. Mainly consisting of Scott’s originals, the music is exploratory yet rooted in modern jazz.
